Made up of about 30% steel, these are the perverted remains of peaceful soldiers from Super Earth that have fallen to the allure of implants and other perverse body-manipulations.
The Immolator is armed with a short-range flamethrower capable of incinerating innocent citizens in mere seconds. Helldivers that find themselves literally on fire are advised to go prone or engage the LIFT-850 Jump Pack to extinguish the flames.
Tactics[edit | edit source]
- Predominately found on low to medium level planets, Immolators are airdropped onto the battlefield, normally in pairs, wherever 'Squadleader' Soldiers or Infantry Fighting Vehicles have raised an alarm to warn of a Helldiver's presence.
- As of the A New Hell content update, Immolators will also spawn on level 13-15 planets.
- After spawning, Immolators will move into close range and attack players with their flamethrower. Any Helldiver set alight by this enemy can go prone to put out the flames, although this may leave them vulnerable to attacks from other Cyborg units. Immolators move quite slowly and have no long-range capabilities, allowing experienced players to judge how close they can approach and take them down from distance.
- Immolators can efficiently set enemies on fire as well (even Warlords), it's very helpful if you want to take out Hounds or Initiates without wasting ammunition.
